And some just want a chance to try something fresh. Systems like Cairn, MÖRK BORG, Wanderhome, Coyote & Crow, and Trophy Gold are making regular appearances at our RPG tables.

Skirmish Games Lead the Wargaming Charge

Miniatures gaming isn’t shrinking. It’s adapting. More people are stepping into skirmish formats first.

Games like Kill Team, Necromunda, Stargrave, and Deadzone are more than gateway games. They’re core parts of hobbyists’ lives. With faster setups, smaller armies, and tighter rules, these systems let players get more games in with less friction.

It is internationally recognised as the heartland of the miniature wargaming industry, often called the “Lead Belt.” This status is no accident. It reflects a unique convergence of historical, economic, creative, and cultural forces that have been shaping the industry for nearly fifty years. Today, the region serves not just as a production hub, but as the epicentre of global tabletop imagination.
