A Night Where Dice Roll, Costumes Rule, and Pumpkins Glow
Halloween lands differently at Games Haven.
This isn’t a quiet evening of “just one more turn.” It’s Nottingham’s tabletop hub turning out the lights, breaking out the board games, and letting the monsters take the main tables.
We’re opening our doors from 7 PM for a night built around everything we do best — gaming, community, and a touch of chaos. Expect cosplay and fancy dress contests, a pumpkin-carving showdown (done safely at home first), and over sixty themed board games ready to play on demand.
Members get in free, day visitors pay £7.50 for the night — still less than a cinema ticket, with a lot more dice.
Bring Your Game, Bring Your Costume
Games Haven thrives on the mix. One table might be battling through Arkham Horror, the next laughing over Mysterium or Betrayal at House on the Hill.
If you’ve never gamed here before, it’s the perfect entry point: open tables, friendly faces, and staff on hand to help new players jump into the fun.
Our regulars already know that the Friday slot is built for everyone — from CCG players winding down after tournaments to D&D GMs looking for inspiration between campaigns. This one just comes with cobwebs and pumpkins.

We keep accessibility and inclusion at the centre of every event. The Halloween Night follows our Event Accessibility Policy — wide table spacing, clear walkways, companion passes for those who need them, and a calm space available if the energy gets too much.

- Wednesday: Blood Bowl, Kill Team, Skirmish Gaming
- Thursday: Board Game Social
- Friday: Quiet Night Out (Neurodivergent-Friendly)
- Saturday: CCGs and Wargames
- Sunday: Historical + Old World Gaming
Halloween Friday simply takes all of that and wraps it in cobwebs and candlelight.
